Who are EEZ NEEZ ?

Background to the Development of the EEZ NEEZ garment.

Steven, a Director of Eezneez Workwear was the owner of a successful plumbing business for 18 years. In the course of working in the industry he realized the need for a solution to a problem which afflicts many in the trade, namely the painful effects caused by kneeling on hard rough surfaces. He also identified the necessity to protect workers from the almost arthritic effects caused by working with wet knees for prolonged periods, as is the case for many in the trade.

Together with his father Brian, a Qualified Textile Technologist who worked in the garment textile industry, Steven started experimenting with flexible foams. They experimented with various waterproofing compounds to make the outer surface impervious to dampness, but at the same time be durable enough to withstand the rigors that could be expected during wear. After succeeding in developing a very flexible, cushioned, waterproofed pad various means of attaching the pad to the work garment (drill pant and overall styles) were investigated.

Eventually a novel method was developed and the garment was patented and successfully commercialised.

1. Comfort

Work garments with the EEZ NEEZ kneepad provide excellent cushioning to the wearer's knees due to the thick closed cell foam utilized. They provide protection to not only those whose knees have already been affected by years of kneeling on hard surfaces but also to those who as yet have not experienced these injurious effects.

EEZ NEEZ pads are an integral part of the garment and follow the knee contour due the their high flexibility as opposed to the strap on devices that tend to fall down during movement and need constant adjustment. Many wearers of the "strap -on" type complain about " bunching" behind the knees.

2. Keep the knees dry

Being composed of a closed cell structured foam the pad itself is intrinsically waterproof. This is further enhanced by the durable, waterproof coating applied to the exterior of the pad itself.

The result being the EEZ NEEZ knees do not suffer the cold, wet feeling as do unprotected garments.

3. Convenient

EEZ NEEZ garments can be washed in the washing machine as normal and either line or tumbled dried. No need to take pads out and have to find them later on. The pads are always in the garments and in position when needed.

4. Durable Knees

The durability to normal wear of the EEZ NEEZ pads has been found to be excellent due to the highly abrasion resistant coating applied to the exterior of the pad. In fact the "knees" last longer than those garments without pads.

5. Work efficiency and safety

Workers have reported that kneeling in a working position is more effective than squatting in an unbalanced or awkward position or bending down , hence making them more efficient on the job. EEZ NEEZ garments enable the worker to work in a safer and more efficient mode.
